Jagtar Singh Hawara
Jagtar Singh Hawara (Punjabi: ) is the current interim Jathedar of Sri Akaal Takht Sahib, the highest Sikh religious seat. He is a member of Babbar Khalsa. He is convicted in the assassination of then Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, who was killed by a human bomb in Chandigarh, on August 31, 1995. During his tenure, Punjab Police were very powerful and had control of a semi-police state. They killed many Sikhs just because they were Sikhs. No investigations or FIR's were held, and many rose higher in the ranks by killing Sikhs.

On November 10, 2015, Jagtar Singh was appointed as the interim Jathedar of the Sri Akaal Takht by the Sarbat Khalsa. He replaces Giani Gurbachan Singh. Jagtar Singh Hawara is the 35th Jathedar of Sri Akaal Takht.
